#1line1world

The mission of #1Line1World is to illustrate continuous contour portraits of one million people; to inspire others to draw people from observation; to bring the world together one line, one face at a time.

WHY?
Each and every one of us are different and unique in our own way. Regardless of gender, color, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, ... we are humans.  With one line connecting us all, it shows that we are all equal despite what separates us.

Deaf/LGBTQ Youth

I supervised a college student's independent study to create a resource for Deaf LGBTQ youth.  Welcome to DeafLGBTQ.com!  On this website, you will find resources for kids, teenagers, family of Deaf/LGBTQ+ youth, and educators of Deaf/LGBTQ+ youth!  You will also find a "Pop Culture" section featuring celebrities, role models, and film/TV representation for the Deaf/LGBTQ+ community, and a "Blog" which will be dedicated to discussions of issues which affect members of the Deaf community, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone who belongs to both communities!

Educational Coloring Books

The first book titled, "Women Coloring The World" will make a great addition to any classroom for Women's history month, or as a great resource for your child to learn and create. I tried to keep the text simple and the image fun to color. Each spread includes an original drawing of an inspiring woman, brief information about the woman written in first person, a highlighted achievement and an enlightening quote.  This book is also available in Spanish upon request.

The second book titled, "Courageous Children Coloring The World" focuses on young children around the world who are inventors, authors, activists and leaders. Even when many of these children were told that they were too young. These books are great resources for any classroom.
